These Smith-Corona models are common, but that's because they were built to last, and there's a lot of them left in working condition. This one is in really great shape both cosmetically and mechanically. If you want a machine for heavy use, then this is probably one of the best if you don't mind the newer appearance.
These are very heavy duty typewriters, and aren't finicky whatsoever. Before I cleaned it, even though the mechanism was in dire need of cleaning, not a single key was sticky. This machine should last for many years to come, and since it uses universal ribbons, new ribbons can easily be acquired!
