Up for sale is a near mint duo-tone Underwood Jewell which dates from 1954. I've had very similar models to this one, but never one labeled a "Jewell." Overall, this machine is quite a Jewell indeed. The typing action is very smooth, and as said before by another Jewell owner "It isn't tinny like other later Underwood models." This typewriter is also in near mint condition cosmetically, and the Underwood logo above the keyboard really makes this typewriter complete. Additionally, this typewriter comes with an instructions manual which includes some help with touch typing, and there is also a brush which was taped inside the case. The case itself is in amazing condition, and isn't beat up at all compared to nearly every other typewriter case that I've seen. This typewriter would be great for heavy or frequent use.
