1960s Smith-Corona Corsair
Up for sale is a Smith-Corona Corsair from the 1960s. The Corsair Deluxe is a very common and popular model, and I have bought and sold quite a few, but this has been my first Corsair. It seems like there's not a whole lot of these, because information was relatively scarce, and I was not able to find the year it was manufactured using the serial number. The mechanism and overall design of this machine is very similar to the later Corsair Deluxe, although this one is more of a robin egg blue instead of a lighter turquoise color. This typewriter also comes with a ton of extra papers which were included when this typewriter was originally purchased (see pictures.)
Overall, this typewriter is very lightweight and portable, so it would be great to travel with. This wouldn't be my first choice to write a novel with, but this typewriter can be used frequently and reliably despite how small it is.
