Up for sale is a Royal Quiet Deluxe which dates from 1954. On the inside base of the carrying case, there's some writing which actually makes this typewriter a lot more interesting and historic in a way than the many other typewriters I get. The serial number dates it to being manufactured late in 1954. According to the writing in the case, it was purchased on 8/24/1955. There's also another note that says it was cleaned and adjusted on 11/25/1959, and this cost was $15. This doesn't seem like a bad deal, but a quick check on the inflation calculator shows that this $15 servicing actually cost $123 back in 1959!
That aside, this typewriter is in exceptional working condition. In certain places, the paint is slightly stained and isn't perfect, but other than this, the typewriter is really nice. The typing action is very smooth and reliable, and the typewriter is easy to use overall. If you're looking for a nice portable typewriter for heavy and frequent use, then this one is definitely an option.
