Up for sale is a nice Smith-Corona Silent which dates from 1952. This typewriter is in near mint condition, and works flawlessly. This model is a common one, but it's a very popular one. The "Silent" isn't as advertised, but it is a little quieter than most. If you're looking for a reliable and easy to use typewriter for heavy use, then this is one that I would recommend.
