Up for sale is a Smith-Corona Galaxie which dates from 1959, making this machine one of the earliest typewriters I've seen with this similar design. This machine comes with some carbon paper, and some typewriter paper which also contained papers from the user of this typewriter, Barbara Folk. Included amidst the papers were several of her cover letters, her resume, and also a thank-you letter. They are all dated from around 1999, suggesting that this typewriter was still in regular use in 1999! The owner cared for this typewriter very well, and it was interesting uncovering these documents and working on this typewriter.
Overall, this typewriter is in great condition, and still can be used reliably and heavily! The typing action is very smooth and enjoyable, making this machine very easy to use.
