Up for sale is an early 5S Series Smith-Corona Silent from 1949.This typewriter is in great condition overall, and types nicely as well. This model is common, but I've never had one of these that was made in 1949, as most were made through the mid 1950s. This typewriter was definitely a popular model, but for good reason. It still types without any trouble, and it's 100% functional. If you're looking for a typewriter to use frequently and heavily, then this is a candidate for sure.
