Here's a Remington Quiet-Riter which dates from 1957. This typewriter is in rough shape cosmetically, but it still functions without any trouble. Additionally, the case is quite beat up, but it still latches and does its job as it should. If you put aside all the cosmetic issues with this machine, then you don't have such a bad typewriter! This one can be used heavily and frequently, and it's very easy to operate.
