This is a beautiful Rheinmettal KsT made in Germany in the mid 1950s. This particular machine is the first Rheinmetall I've purchased, and I am impressed in every way - these Rheinmetalls are quite rare in America, but I wish they were more common. The mechanism is extremely smooth and pleasant to use. It's nearly as first-class as you can get for a portable typewriter of the period in terms of typing, and it's quite collectible as well. It's extraordinarily difficult to find Rheinmettals in the United States, which is real shame because they are so high end. This one is a beautiful green color, and is in absolutely perfect condition. It has no cosmetic flaws, and types like it was brand new. Additionally, it comes with a myriad of its original paperwork, such as the warranty, instruction manual, and insurance, as well as some cleaning brushes and the case. The case has removable hinges so the bottom can be used as a platform on which to rest the typewriter, and the top part is reattachable. Overall, this is an absolutely stunning machine that is incredibly rare and perfect in every aspect. It is in near mint condition, and is absolutely lovely to use. This typewriter is perfect for both collectors and novices, and will be able to withstand all degrees of use. Overall, I give it a 10/10.
