Up for sale is an absolutely gorgeous Corona Silent which was manufactured in 1939. This machine was produced pretty early on in this model's run, hence why the name on the main cover is Corona instead of the common Smith-Corona name which is on the main cover 95% of the time. The 2S Series was first produced in 1938, so this typewriter was made in only the second production year. Overall this typewriter is in amazing shape, and works great. Some keys tend to stick a bit when they aren't used for a bit, however once the typewriter is up and running, it types very smoothly. This typewriter uses universal ribbons which are sold on this website when the time comes for a new ribbon. The case is also in good shape except for the fact that the right-hand latch does not latch, however the left-hand latch does. One latch does a fair enough job in keeping the case completely shut, however I would still be careful when carrying this machine with the handle.
