Up for sale is an amazing looking Royal Quiet Deluxe 'A' model which was made in 1947. This typewriter is in near mint shape overall, and is a true classic. This typewriter is fully functional and can be used heavily even though it's almost 70 years old. This typewriter was one of the first to feature Royal's "Floating Shift" mechanism which just makes the shift key a bit lighter and easier to use speedily. This typewriter also has touch control to adjust how hard you have to press the keys. In my opinion, everything about this machine is very ideal, which makes it extremely easy to operate and maintain. The ribbon reverse switch and ribbon color selector are right above the keyboard and couldn't be any easier to access and use. There aren't too many other levers on the carriage to confuse. This typewriter also uses universal ribbons which are sold on this site. This typewriter also comes with a copy of the owner's manual. If you are looking for a classic typewriter in great shape that can still be used heavily, then this is the one for you.
