Up for sale is a beautiful Remington Model 5 which was made in 1938. This typewriter is very similar to the more classic looking 5, however this one has a crinkle paint finish instead of glossy, and this one also has a touch control selector as well as a few different shaped levers on the carriage. The typewriter itself is in near mint shape especially considering its age. Everything is functional right down to the bell. Unfortunately it does not use universal ribbons, but the ribbon could be re-thread or a new one could be found specifically made for the Model 5 on eBay. I would not necessarily recommend this typewriter for extremely heavy use as much as I would with a newer machine, however this typewriter is still pretty reliable and can be used pretty frequently.
