Up for sale is an Underwood Leader which was manufactured in 1953. This typewriter is in excellent shape both cosmetically and mechanically. This typewriter is fairly easy to use and maintain, however it will specifically need an Underwood ribbon (eBay) or it will need to be rethread otherwise. Also keep in mind that this typewriter has no ribbon color selector, so it only makes sense to use a single color ribbon. This typewriter is fairly simple, so it would be a great first typewriter. This machine can be used frequently or heavily.
