1970s Smith-Corona Galaxie Twelve
Here's a Smith-Corona Galaxie Twelve which was made sometime in the 1970s. This machine is near perfect, however the rather cheap carrying case needs some attention. The hinge in the back (which is plastic) ripped off along the seam, so packing tape was used to replace the hinge. (see last picture) It works, however it may need to be reinforced, and it's not perfect. Otherwise, this typewriter is in near mint shape and is fully functional down to the bell. If you're looking for a workhorse to use heavily, then the Galaxie Twelve is an excellent option. The 12 inch carriage is also a bonus since you can type landscape-wise on an 8x11 sheet of paper.
