Up for sale is a beautiful Olympia SM5 which was made in Western Germany in 1962. I've had my fair share of SM3s, SM4s, SM7s, and SM9s, however this has been the first SM5 that I've worked with. The design overall is almost identical to the SM3, however it's painted a smooth cream white instead of the crinkle paint finish. This typewriter itself is in near mint shape, and is completely functional. As with the other Olympia SM's, this machine is extremely reliable and is one of the best options for heavy typing. It's very easy to use and maintain, and it uses universal ribbons.
