1927 Royal Portable Model P
Up for sale is an absolutely beautiful and classic Royal Portable Model P which was made in 1927. This machine was made pretty early-on relative to the Model P's production which went through the 1930s. Overall, it's in near mint shape both cosmetically and mechanically, although a few of the labels have evidence of light wear, which is reasonable considering how old this machine. The glossy black paint is just about perfect, and shines like a mirror. Even the case is in really remarkable shape, and even has the original leather handle still completely in-tact (90% of the time they are gone) While this typewriter is completely functional, I would not really suggest using this machine as a workhorse. Even though this machine is so old, it's very easy to use, and it does use universal ribbons. You may also expect the mechanism to feel a little rough because of this typewriter's age, however that isn't the case at all. The mechanism is very smooth and feels pretty reliable, which was part of why this model became as popular as it did. As I said, this wouldn't be the ideal novel-writer, however this classic can still be used frequently.
