Up for sale is a solid Olympia SM5 which was made in Western Germany in 1962. This typewriter is in near mint shape both cosmetically and mechanically, and would be perfect for heavy use. The SM5 is just about identical to the SM3/SM4 series mechanically. This machine is extremely easy to use and take care of, and it's one of the most reliable typewriters out there. This SM5 also comes with the original instructions manual and the cleaning kit. Universal ribbons fit this typewriter perfectly, so there is no question that it will be easy keeping this typewriter typing for years to come.
