1966 Smith-Corona Sterling
Up for sale is a wonderful Smith-Corona Sterling made in 1966. This model is one of my all-time favorites. It has the same solid and reliable mechanism of the Classic 10/Galaxie models, but with the incorporation of a more attractive, sleek look to it; this model is also extremely easy to use and maintain, and it uses universal ribbons. This machine is in incredible condition, with very little visible wear to it -- the paint is immaculate, and every mechanism works as smoothly as it would have 50 years ago. This particular typewriter is in exceptional condition both mechanically and cosmetically, and would be great for heavy use. Smith-Coronas have been some of the most popular typewriters around for decades, and this machine proves why: it's easy to use, is extremely reliable, can withstand heavy use, is cosmetically very attractive, and is just an overall joy to use! If you're looking for a great machine overall for heavy use, then this is one of the best options.
