Here's a nice Smith-Corona Sterling (5A Series) which was made in 1955. This typewriter is in excellent shape although it has a few very minor cosmetic flaws. Everything works great as it should, right down to the bell. This machine does use universal ribbons, and it's also pretty easy to use and care for. The typing mechanism on this machine is very reliable and solid, and has touch control to tune how hard you have to press on the keys. If you're looking for a solid typewriter fit for frequent use, then this is an excellent option.
