1930s Remington Portable
This is an old repainted Remington Portable from the 1930s. You can see in certain spots the original glossy duo-tone green color that it used to have. The keys are also replaced, and the shift and shift lock keys are missing. The case (especially the back of the case) is in rough condition. The typewriter works, but needs a cleaning and a new ribbon (universal ribbons do not fit) I don't know what this typewriter was repainted for, but it's a part of this typewriter's history. I have seen typewriters repainted similarly for secretaries working for the U.S. military during WWII. Although this typewriter is of the correct time period for that, I can't confirm it was a workhorse in the military during the second world war.
