Up for sale is an excellent budget machine- an Underwood 330 which was made sometime in the 1960s. This typewriter was made after Olivetti and Underwood merged, because the mechanism is identical to many of the other models Olivetti made, however the body style is much different. This machine is in fully working shape right down to the bell, and is in decent shape cosmetically as well. I didn't spend a whole lot of time on the body and case, so more can be done to make this machine more prestine, however I kept costs low by leaving it be. There is a few areas of minor surface rust in certain spots, however none of this affects the functionality of the machine in any way. Universal ribbons do not fit this machine, however Olivetti ribbons (any of them will do) are readily availible on eBay or Amazon. The only drawback with this machine is that the case does not latch, and so this would not be a good machine to travel with. If you want to carry it using the handle, you need to make sure the base of the machine is against your leg as you carry it so that it doesn't fall out from the case lid. Other than that, this is a great economical machine that can be used pretty heavily and reliably.
