Here's a beautiful Smith-Corona Sterling (5AX Series) which was made in 1963. This model is perhaps one of my favorite typewriters from the '60s, mainly because it looks pretty nice and it's a joy to write with. Overall, this typewriter is in exceptional condition both cosmetically and mechanically. The paint only has a few little scratches and dings here and there. The small light area seen on the main basket cover to the very left of the machine was a reflection from the carriage return lever. Mechanically, everything on this machine works perfectly, and as usual, this Sterling is an excellent typewriter for heavy use. If you're looking for a solid, reliable portable for heavy and frequent use, then this is one of my best recommendations. This machine is extremely easy to use and take care of, and uses universal ribbons which are sold on this site.
