Up for sale is a really beautiful Olympia SF Deluxe which was made in Western Germany in 1961. Most SF's were white, but this machine features a really nice (but still original) light robin-egg blue and grey body. The white-balance on my camera was on the warm side for a lot of the pictures, however the second picture shows the true color of the machine best. The SF is one of my favorite more compact portables, and beats a lot of the other portables made to be just as slim and small. As usual, Olympia made sure this machine was well-built and made to last. Despite its small size, this typewriter types just as well as a larger portable, and is extremely reliable and easy to use. This machine uses universal ribbons which are sold on this site. This is one of the few ultra-compact portables that I would recommend to be used heavily. Everything on this typewriter works wonderfully without any issues. Cosmetically, this typewriter is near mint with minimal evidence of wear. The case is also in excellent shape, and the zipper is fully intact and undamaged, which is rather impressive since zippers are commonly broken or extremely worn. Also included is the original final test sheet from the factory.
Overall, if you're looking for a smaller portable (great for travel) which can be used reliably and frequently, then this is a really great option.
