Up for sale is the classic Olivetti Valentine. This one was made in Barcelona, Spain in 1969. There's a lot of information about the Valentine that I could include in this description, but there are a few websites that sum everything up rather well. Overall, this typewriter is in exceptional shape, however it isn't perfect. The plastic body has a few scratches from being placed in and out of its case- particularly right above the "valentine" lettering above the keyboard. See all pictures. Other than that, this typewriter is in great cosemtic condition, with no rust or other complaints. Everything works perfectly, including the bell. The mechanism is the regular Olivetti build, nearly identical to the Lettera 32 and other models by Olivetti and Underwood-Olivetti. What sets this machine apart is its unique design.
This typewriter can be used heavily, but it's also an excellent conversation and decoration piece at the same time. Universal ribbons don't fit this machine, however any Olivetti portable ribbon from eBay will work if you choose not to rethread.
