Up for sale is a golden/brown Smith-Corona Galaxie Twelve which was manufactured sometime in the 1970s. This typewriter is in excellent shape overall, with very few scratches and evidence of wear. Everything is working perfectly as it should. The Galaxie Twelve is essentially the same as the Classic 12, and of course features a 12 inch carriage- hence its name. The 12 inch carriage can handle slightly larger sheets of paper, and type landscape-wise on a standard 8" x 11" piece of paper. The case is a little large and cheap-looking, but it does its job.
As I mentioned, everything is working great on this typewriter. As with similar models by SMC, this typewriter is an excellent workhorse, and can definitely be used frequently and heavily.
This model is very easy to use and care for. An instructions manual can be found here:

Universal ribbons fit this machine, and can be purchased on this website.
Overall, if you're looking for a reliable typewriter to use heavily, then the Galaxie Twelve is an excellent choice.
