1965 Royal Royalite '65
Up for sale is a Royal Royalite '65, which of course was made in Holland in 1965. This typewriter is in good shape overall, but one of the type slot pieces is loose, and I don't have the tools to properly fix it. Luckily, the typewriter is still fully functional regardless. Even the two type segments that pass next to the loose piece (the k and 9 keys) don't stick or resist any more than all of the other keys. This typewriter is rather light and slim, despite the body being full metal (not plastic unlike many other cheap machines from this era). The leather case is a bit worn (see pictures) and could possibly be cleaned a bit more if the buyer pleases. I wouldn't necessarily want to use this machine for extended periods of writing at a time (a desktop or a larger portable would be best suited for heavy duty tasks such as long novels) however this typewriter can be used frequently and somewhat reliably without any worries. As mentioned, the loose type slot piece doesn't effect the functionality of this machine whatsoever, so this typewriter is fully functional and ready to go. Keep in mind that this typewriter does not have a ribbon color selector, so only single color ribbons can be used. Despite that being said, universal ribbons that are sold on this site do fit this typewriter.
