Up for sale is an absolutely beautiful Corona Flattop which was made in 1935; the first year of the 1C-Series production, and a year before the Flattop bore the name "Standard." This typewriter is a classic from the 1930s, and would have likely been extremely popular had more people been able to afford it at the time (Great Depression). This typewriter is in excellent shape overall, although it does have some character and shows its age. The glossy jet-black paint shines impressively, and has very few scratches. The "CORONA" label on the paper table is slightly worn, as well as the label on the very back of the machine, but the other labels are rather crisp and in tact. The chrome/nickel plating shines a bit, but not like new. Mechanically, this typewriter is absolutely perfect despite being 80+ years old. Everything works perfectly right down to the bell, and this machine is actually a pretty great typer. I don't usually suggest using these older machines for heavy use, but this typewriter is one of the few exceptions as long as it is properly cared for. The instructions manual for this typewriter can be downloaded for free here: http://site.xavier.edu/polt/typewriters/CoronaInstructions1937.pdf.
