Up for sale is a Royal Mercury which was made in Japan in 1971. This typewriter is pretty much your standard slim, lightweight portable with no frills. This Mercury is in near mint shape, with nothing to complain about. As with most slim machines, this typewriter prints best with a quick and short, snappy typestroke. Despite its small size, this typewriter is a really reliable typewriter that can be used heavily. This wouldn't be my first choice to write something like a long novel on, however the machine is capable of it as long as you are. This typewriter is one of the easiest to use and care for, and it comes with the original owner's manual. The Mercury uses universal ribbons which are sold on this site.
