Up for sale is a Royal Model P which was manufactured in 1930. This typewriter has been in my personal collection for quite a few years now, mostly because of how beautiful it looks and how smooth it is to type with, however I've decided that it's time to sell a few more typewriters from my personal collection. This Model P is in near mint shape, and is fully functional right down to the bell. Despite this machine's age, it's actually a really excellent typewriter to write with, and so this typewriter can be used very frequently. Cosmetically, this typewriter is not perfect, but it's pretty close especially considering this machine was made in 1930. The black glossy paint shines like a mirror, with only a few scratches, and there isn't any rust anywhere on this machine. This would not be my first choice to write something like a novel on, however I believe that this typewriter would still be capable. Universal ribbons which are sold on this site work with this machine. The owner's manual can be downloaded for free here: http://site.xavier.edu/polt/typewriters/Royalportables1930.pdf
I have replaced the rubber feet on the bottom of the base, so this typewriter can be placed on a desk or any other hard surface without sliding around. The original feet were either dried, cracked, or missing altogether. The case is missing its original leather handle, however it was replaced with a makeshift plastic handle, which does the job just as well.
If you're looking for a classic art-deco style typewriter in near mint shape that can still be used frequently, then this is an excellent choice.
