1972 Royal Jet
Here's a nice light blue Royal Jet which was manufactured in Japan in 1972. This typewriter is extremely similar to a Royal Mercury, however it does not have a ribbon color selector. This particular typewriter is in good shape overall, and is fully functional right down to the bell. Cosmetically, this typewriter has a few scratches and flaws, however the light blue paint looks great. The white keys are discolored, however they have been thoroughly cleaned. The slight discoloration is most likely the result of a chemical reaction with the plastic keytops over the years. This typewriter uses universal ribbons (however only single-color) which are sold on this site. This typewriter was made to be small, light, and extremely portable, so this typewriter is naturally not the best typewriter to use for heavy use such as writing a novel. The touch is still smooth, and the typewriter is still a reliable typewriter, however it's just not a machine that was designed to be used for hours and hours on end. That being said, this typewriter still does work perfectly, and can be used to fill a few pages full of text at your desire. If you want a machine that is easy to carry around and travel with, then this is the type of machine you'd want.
