Up for sale is a Swedish-made Facit TP-2 which was manufactured in 1968. Facit typewriters are somewhat uncommon in America, so it's always a pleasure to work on them. This particular typewriter is in excellent shape, although it's not perfect. There's a chunk missing from the bottom-front of the spacebar, however the spacebar is no less functional then it was before. The rubber feet are also pretty much disintegrated, however this typewriter came with a nice pad which when placed under the typewriter, will prevent the machine from sliding around (which counters the bad rubber feet) and helps dampen the sound a bit.
Other than that, this typewriter is in really great shape, and is fully functional right down to the bell. This typewriter is also equipped with a 12 inch carriage, which allows you to type landscape-wise on a standard 8"x11" piece of printer paper. This typewriter is easy to use and maintain, and uses universal ribbons which are sold on this site. Included is the original owner's manual.
This typewriter is all metal minus the plastic key tops, and is an excellent quality machine all-in-all. I would recommend using this typewriter heavily and frequently, as this TP-2 is a very reliable workhorse that is ready to be put to good use.
