Up for sale is a nice blue Royal Safari which was made in 1966. This typewriter is an iconic one which doesn't hide the fact that it was made during the Space-Age. Love it or hate it, the Safari has a very unique and intriguing design. This typewriter isn't perfect, however it is in good shape. The right hand carriage end cover was missing, however I had a parts-Safari which was light brown and I took the carriage end from that machine and installed it on this typewriter. It looks a bit out of place, but it's better than having it missing altogether. If the buyer wishes, it wouldn't be to difficult to repaint the piece to match the blue paint. The rest of the blue paint is in decent shape, although it has a few scratches and areas of paint loss, mostly on the typebasket/ribbon cover from the carriage return lever. Mechanically, this typewriter is perfect and fully functional right down to the bell. This typewriter can be used heavily and reliably. The Safari is also very easy to use and care for, and uses universal ribbons which are sold on this site.
