Up for sale is a Royal Mercury which was made in Japan sometime in the 1970s. This typewriter may not be the finest, however it's small size and simplistic design make it an effective machine. This specific Mercury is in good shape overall, although it does have some minor cosmetic flaws upon close examination (see all pictures). Mechanically, this typewriter is very solid with everything working as it should. This typewriter uses universal ribbons which are sold on this site. All-in-all, the Mercury is an excellent typewriter for moderate and frequent use. If you're looking for a first-time typewriter, then the Mercury is an easy machine to use and care for.
