This stunning Royal Quiet Deluxe is in near-mint shape both mechanically and cosmetically. Every mechanism on it is fully functional -- even the bell! -- and it really is a joy to use. This machine is an excellent typewriter for frequent or heavy use, and is a very smooth typewriter. It's also very easy to use and maintain, and does use universal ribbons, which are readily available on this site.
This specific Quiet Deluxe comes in a case with the nameplate "Margaret Clark" on the front, and it does have the original owner's manual, drafts of legal agreements (one detailing the durable power of attorney for health care, the other just durable power of attorney) for a woman named Helen M. Clark, and other personal notes in its case. This machine still carries some of its history with it!
The only flaw with this Royal is some ink smudges visible on its body. While minor and inconspicuous, they are there. Despite this, this is a really beautiful machine that would be perfect for anyone. From a beginner who has never really typed on a typewriter before to an experience novelist, this is a wonderful typewriter that would serve you well.
