Up for sale is a nice Olympia SM3 which was manufactured in Western Germany in 1956. This typewriter is in great shape overall, although it has a few cosmetic flaws (mostly with the paint- the chrome is nearly perfect and shines like a mirror) and the case isn't in perfect shape. Mechanically, this typewriter is fully functional and is an excellent typewriter for heavy and frequent use. Olympia typewriters are known for their high quality, especially when it comes to typing, and this machine is no exception to that standard. If you're looking for an extremely reliable portable to write something such as a novel on, then this is probably one of the best portables for the job. This typewriter is also very easy to use and maintain, and uses universal ribbons which are sold on this site.
