Up for sale is a Remington Travel-Riter which was manufactured in Holland in 1957. This typewriter is in excellent shape both cosmetically and mechanically, and is fully functional right down to the bell. This typewriter has a bit heavier touch than most typewriters, so if you're not used to writing with a manual typewriter, it may take some getting used to- but it really isn't that bad. Despite having a two-color ribbon installed, this typewriter does not have a ribbon color selector switch, so only the black part of the ribbon can be used. This typewriter doesn't have interchangeable spools, however the ribbon from the universal spools sold on this site can be used with this typewriter. This typewriter also has a division and degrees key, which is not common on any other portable typewriters and makes for a nice touch if you have a use for it.
All-in-all, this is a great, reliable workhorse, however it wouldn't be my first choice of recommendation for someone who doesn't have any experience with manual typewriters.
