Up for sale is a light blue and gray duo-tone Royal Futura 800 which was manufactured in 1962. This typewriter is in excellent shape both cosmetically and mechanically, however the paint isn't perfect. The light blue paint is normally solid blue, however for some reason the paint has spots as almost if it was bleached or otherwise permanently stained. Luckily, the "flaws" actually look like clouds on a sky-blue background, so it doesn't look too bad. Mechanically, the typewriter is fully functional down to the bell, and is a smooth typer all around. The touch is light and snappy just like other Royals of the era, and it would be a joy to type with for long periods of writing. This typewriter also has a propriety font (see second picture for type sample) which looks unique. Universal ribbons, which are sold on this site, fit the Futura 800 without any trouble. If you're looking for a space-age looking typewriter that's easy to use and maintain and that can be used heavily/frequently, then this is an excellent option.
