Up for sale is a cute little Underwood Portable (3-Bank) which was made in 1923. This typewriter is essentially fully functional, however it needs some work to restore it to its full glory. For now, it makes an excellent decoration and conversation piece. This typewriter is missing one of the nuts to secure the right-hand ribbon spool. The two feed rollers have been removed (and would need to be re-covered with fresh rubber and re-installed anyways). The platen also should be removed and re-covered before the typewriter is actually used. I gave this typewriter a light dust-off, however this machine should really be taken off its base and cleaned thoroughly if the intention is to restore this typewriter fully.
The case has some light mold inside that can be cleaned, however the outside of the case is in great shape and is only missing the original leather handle.
This typewriter makes a great mostly-functional decoration as-is, however with some work, this typewriter could be restored to its full potential.
