Up for sale is a nice Smith-Corona Galaxie in "Starmist Blue" which was made in 1964. This typewriter is in fair cosmetic shape overall, and has some scratches and areas of missing paint. Mechanically, this typewriter is perfect, and is fully functional down to the bell. As other Smith-Corona models are, this typewriter is an exceptional typer, and has a smooth and trusty touch. The plastic lever is missing for the left-hand carriage release, and the right hand carriage release lever has some wear, but still does its job well. This typewriter types in the slightly smaller "elite" typeface which fits 12 characters in an inch instead of the pica typeface which fits 10 characters in an inch. Aside from being an excellent, smooth, and reliable workhorse, this typewriter is also very easy to use and care for. This typewriter uses universal ribbons which are sold on this website. The owner's manual for this typewriter can be downloaded for free here:

All in all, if you're in the market for a nice-looking workhorse that can be used heavily and reliably, then this is an excellent option to run with.
