Up for sale is a nice Underwood 378 which was manufactured in Spain sometime likely in the late '70s or early '80s. This machine was made after the Olivetti-Underwood merger, and so it is essentially a re-branded Olivetti portable. All mechanisms and features are identical to the Olivetti portables from a decade or so prior. While this machine isn't anything too special or attractive, it is a simple and reliable workhorse. The body is plastic, but it has the same exact metal insides and frame as the other well-known Olivetti portables. Ergonomically, this would not be my first recommendation for writing something like a novel on, however it can be used frequently and stand up to heavy typing. If you're looking for a no-frills, easy to use and maintain machine that can still be used to tackle heavy and frequent typing at your desire, then this is a good machine for you.
