1950s Remington Travel-Riter
This is a nice little Remington Travel-Riter made in Holland sometime around the 1950s or 1960s. I figured the touch would be similar to the popular Remington Quiet-Riters, but it's actually quite the opposite. The amount of touch required to fully get the machine to operate (both keys and spacebar) is more than the average typewriter. If you press too lightly on a key or the spacebar, it will go down as it would, but the escapement mechanism won't space the carriage as it should. I would only recommend this machine to someone who likes a heavy touch. This Travel-Riter doesn't have a ribbon color selector switch, and therefore only uses a single color ribbon.
