1964 Olivetti Lettera 32 (Cursive/Script)
Up for sale is a pretty Olivetti Lettera 32 which writes in script (cursive) font. This typewriter was manufactured in Italy in 1964. While the Lettera 32 itself is not a rare machine, the fact that this typewriter writes in script makes it extremely desirable. This particular typewriter is in impressive condition, with few to no cosmetic issues. Mechanically, this typewriter is also perfect, and is fully functional right down to the bell. This would not be my first recommendation to write a novel on, however this typewriter is a smooth machine to write on, and is also very reliable, so it could be done. Also in impressive condition is the carrying case. The zipper is fully in-tact and functional, which can be rare for this model since the zippers commonly wear out and tear from the case.
Universal ribbons do not fit this machine, however the original spools can be re-thread, otherwise any Olivetti portable ribbons will fit this machine. The owner's manual can be downloaded for free here: http://site.xavier.edu/polt/typewriters/OlivettiLettera32_Manual.pdf
If you're in the market for a cute, functionalmachine that types in cursive, then this is an excellent choice.
