1970 Cyrillic Hermes Rocket
Up for sale is a rare Hermes Rocket with a Cyrillic keyboard which was manufactured in 1970 in Säckingen, Western Germany- on the border of Switzerland where Hermes machines are usually manufactured. This specific typewriter is extremely uncommon with this keyboard, and I have only found one other like it which is for sale in Ukraine and is missing parts.
This particular typewriter is in excellent shape, and is fully functional right down to the bell. Cosmetically, this typewriter is also in great shape with very few flaws. Universal ribbons which are for sale fit this machine perfectly, helping make this machine very easy to keep typing.
If you know the language, then this typewriter can definitely be used heavily and frequently despite its small size. Hermes portables such as this one are very popular for their high quality and smooth and reliable typing action. Even without this keyboard, the Hermes Rocket is an extremely valuable and collectible machine.
