1950 Smith-Corona Clipper
Up for sale is a beautiful Smith-Corona Clipper (5C-Series) which was made in 1950. This typewriter is in near mint shape all around, and is fully functional right down to the bell. The paint, although mostly in perfect shape, does have a few very minor stains or imperfections in select areas. The case is also in great shape, and only has some wear on the outside near the corners.This typewriter is an extremely smooth and reliable machine to write on. This machine types in the standard pica typeface, and uses universal ribbons which are sold on this site. This typewriter also comes with a few extras, including the original owner’s manual, and a touch typing card.
This Clipper is almost identical to the Silent which is also for sale and was also made in the same exact year.
If you’re in the market for a classic ‘50s machine that’s ready to be used heavily and reliably, then this is the machine to get. This typewriter would also make a good first-time typewriter, since it's very easy to learn to use and care for.
