This Royal Quiet Deluxe is a very nice machine other than the fact that it is having trouble with the platen. The carriage return lever only spaces if you move the lever slowly, and the platen doesn't grip the paper. The left hand platen knob comes off easily, and a piece of it is bent, which probably has something to do with the problem. It could be an easy fix, but I haven't had enough time to play around with it. Other than the platen issue, the typewriter only needs a minor cleaning and a new ribbon.
