1949 Royal Arrow
Up for sale is a nice Royal Arrow which was made in 1949. This machine was one of the last years Royal produced their machines with "glass keys," marking an end to the '40s. This typewriter itself is in great shape overall, although cosmetically it has some flaws- mainly being with minor stains in the crinkle paint finish. The chrome shines nicely, and there is no rust anywhere on this machine. Mechanically, this typewriter is fully functional down to the bell, and types very nicely for its age. The mechanism is extremely smooth and reliable, and I would definitely recommend using this machine heavily as desired. This typewriter is also very easy to keep typing, and uses universal ribbons which are sold on this site. The typeface is a very ideal 10 characters per inch (pica) making the text extremely easy to read compared to some other machines.
If you're looking for a wonderful typer that doesn't have to be in perfect cosmetic shape but is ready to be used heavily and reliably for years to come, then this is the perfect choice.
