Singer, a manufacturing company, was selling vacuum cleaners, motor mowers, transistor radios, sewing machines, and, of course, typewriters, in the 1960s. The typewriters they sold were relabeled machines from respectable, big-name companies, such as Royal and Smith Corona. This particular machine is a rebranded Smith Corona Corsair; due to that, this machine has all the great qualities that Smith Corona typewriters possess. This specific Singer performs as if it was new. All keys type extremely smoothly and require only a light touch. Every function of the carriage and machine works smoothly and easily. Cosmetically, this typewriter is also in great condition. The body of the machine has no chips nor stains. The roller knobs are a bit stained with ink, however. The largest flaw on this machine is that it is missing the cover for the key basket and ribbon spools. Despite this missing cover, every other aspect of this machine is perfect. It functions flawlessly, and looks great.
