1938 Corona Standard
Up for sale is an absolutely beautiful Corona Standard (2C-Series) which was manufactured in 1938. This typewriter is in stunning condition, and is fully functional right down to the bell. Cosmetically, this typewriter is near perfect, but has a few small scratches, and some of the labels are slightly worn and/or whitened. The glossy black paint shines like a mirror, and you will probably have to find yourself polishing it very often. The case is also in great shape, but does have some wear. The key is also included.
Despite its old age, this typewriter is actually a very great machine to write on, and can be used as heavily as you wish. While it would not be my first choice to write a novel on, it can be done.
Universal ribbons which are sold on this site fit this machine perfectly, and the owner's manual can be found here: https://site.xavier.edu/polt/typewriters/SCFloating1938.pdf
If you're in the market for a beautiful classic typewriter that can still be used heavily and reliably, then this is a great choice!
