1953 Remington Quiet-Riter
Up for sale is an attractive Remington Quiet-Riter which was manufactured in 1953. This typewriter is in near mint shape overall, and is fully functional right down to the bell. Cosmetically, this typewriter has very few imperfections, which is impressive for its age. The case has some wear consistent with its age, but is still in great shape and has done a great job preserving this machine.
This typewriter writes in a smaller elite typeface, which is about 12 pitch (12 characters per inch typed)
The owner's manual for this machine can be downloaded for free here: https://site.xavier.edu/polt/typewriters/quietriter.pdf
Universal ribbons which are sold on this site fit this machine perfectly once the core of the plastic spools is removed.
