1964 Smith-Corona Galaxie
Up for sale is a Smith-Corona Galaxie which was made in America in 1964. This typewriter is in good condition overall, but has a couple of minor quirks. Most notably, the carrying case does not have a handle, as the original handle was broken off. Additionally, there is a small plastic piece that would cover part of the carriage end near the base of the carriage return lever that is missing. Despite these two quirks, this typewriter is still in good condition overall. It is fully functional down to the bell, and is an excellent machine to use heavily and reliably. It's also very easy to use and care for, and uses the universal ribbons sold on this site. The owner's manual can be downloaded for free here: https://site.xavier.edu/polt/typewriters/SmithCoronaGalaxieManual.pdf
If you're looking for a typewriter that is ready to be used as a workhorse, and don't mind sacrificing a few minor things such as the case handle for a discounted price, then this is a great deal for you.
